When Brian writes me a vampire story, it will go here. I just couldn’t let this dress wait, though! I mean, it’s got bats.
To cut out the collar, cut down across the white line and cut out the blank space over the chest, then slip the black part behind the doll’s neck. It’s one of those things that should work in theory…
While waiting for the vampire story, please amuse yourself with this week’s poll:
What a elegant dress. I really love it. I can imagine the dark castle in the scary night where this vampire appear. It most, anyway, be an elegant castle, I beleive.
Thank you Annissa, I’m really glad you like it :D I think it’s one of my favorites that I’ve ever done, too. I’ve never tried doing black lace over a color like that, and I was scared to death it wouldn’t work and ruin the picture (I have a scan of the dress without the overskirt, just in case) but I think it turned out really well! :)
Wow! That lace is fantastic.
I really would love to have these Halloween clothes for my vinyl dolls. I mean, in “paper-dolls format” they are great but I would be over the moon to have them done in fabric for my dollies :-)
Thanks Lorie and Claudia! Yeah, they would be lovely done as doll dresses… but expensive. Sadly paper and colored pencils remains the most cost-effective way to have pretty things ;)
ooo ~ the good queen’s ghost is still so far my favorite, but this one is pretty yummy!
: D
Thanks!
The good queen is my mom’s favorite, too, but she wants a non-bloody version. Maybe I’ll redo it for her birthday…
Hell’o! How can I buy this dress? Thank you.
Haha, I think your best bet would be to hire someone to make something like it for you. It’s actually a pretty simple design: empire waist, square neck, long sleeves. If you think of the green dress here in red satin with black accents and lace, you’re already pretty close. Finding curly bat lace might be more of a challenge.
hey liana, love the dress, it would be perfect on a drop dead gorgeous vampire! :)
